Thursday, February 25, 2010  exactly one year ago, i bade farewell to this group of friends. i still remembered the fear, the anticipation and the feeling where i didnt know what to expect and apprehension at being alone in a big foreign land. after all, it was my first time going to europe. still remember crying on the bus, after farewell dinner at the fairytaly restaurant in tanglin mall, and i was feeling so stupid for wanting to go to germany, and was really really scared. BUT i am really glad i dint back out of it. for the next 6 months of my exchange life was definitely unforgettable and most memorable. come to think of it. i was really lucky.there are so many things that could have gone wrong. i am lucky i have singaporeans( baobei, swee foo, zolin, rez, stacey, joan,sharmila) with me, so i dun suffer so much homesickness and there are people who understands my somewhat mumbled and somewhat chinese sounding english.. i am lucky i got arthur as a buddy ( which was a blessing in disguise, cos through him i met marcela, emma, debby and orhun as well as julien) :) and i am lucky i got 5 wonderful german neighbours(mikel, chris, stephan, franz,adrian) who made life so much more interesting where i could easily have landed up with 5 nasty neighbours who will steal my food and leave the toilet dirty. and i am lucky there were so many parties such that i met so many awesome people( too many to name). one year ago. i cannot turn back time. but THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. :)  XOXO 12:52 AM |
