XOXO 11:03 PM Monday, May 25, 2009  bye!   the rheinfalls in schaffhausen! the largest water fall in europe. i was so in awe at the sight and beauty of the falls, i couldnt stop gawking and taking photos! see the switz flag up there on the rocks? i went up there too! :)and the view was amazing..   went to lucerne on the second day and i so badly wanted to go up to the alps but it was too expensive! :(  so i could only take photos while on a boat trip. but it was very enjoyable and i still couldnt help marvelling at the scenery. SPOT THE ALPS! :) and yes there were so many people driving out their yatches and got so many hot and cute boys suntannign on the yatch itself! and i was just standing on the bridge and ooogling at them. whooots. felt the impulse to just jump into one. hehehehe HOT HOT HOT!  SAY SWISS CHEESE!  in zurich in front of the zurich lake. saw so many couples and me and xin lin agreed that switzerland is a very romantic albeit expensive place for couples. there are so much nice scenery, alfresco cafes.. nice.  breakfast at migros. a very popular supermarket chain in switzerland. but heck. the prices are mightily scary even though its one of the cheapest supermarket around. i really dunno how anyone can live in switzerland! its so ex! xin lin told me there was a doctor living near her and i told her i want to marry his son. gosh can u imagine, i can fulfil my dream of being a tai tai already! heh and yes. in case u didnt know, switzerland ranks top among the the countries that the world's richest people want to live in. coolnesss. i shall make switzerland my future home. :):)  and yes after four days of hearing weird swiss german, i was finally goign back! was kind of glad cos i miss my bed in stuttgart! and on the way, my worse fear came true! i alighted at the wrong stop! alighted at kreuzlingen(hafen) instead of keuzlingen(hbf) and i was still wondering why i couldnt find the correct platform for my next train :( and i was so bloody worried cos if i miss my train back to konstanz, i will have to catch the next train whoch comes 2 hrs later and then i will reach germany so late! was panicking and didnt know what to do. didnt know the timing for all the trains and all. luckily my gallant knight in shiny armour came to my rescue (a very cute swiss guy) wahahha and he showed me how i could walked to konstanz. AND SO I WALKED FROM SWITZERLAND TO GERMNAY AND I CROSSED THE LANDESGRENZE( BORDER! ) SO COOL RIGHT? HEHEHEHE XOXO 2:55 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2009 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAKA AND FRANZ! :) XOXO 2:50 AM Sunday, May 17, 2009 want to go out and travel but i am just so lazy to plan anything!!!feel like i just wasted another weekend in which i could have been travelling!:( anyway just watched gossip girl and at the scene where Nate kissed Blair on the forehead after breaking up with Vanessa, Blair said: " he kissed me on the forehead; no passion, no spark, like he was a man and i was a little girl." found it interesting cos i always thought kisses on the forehead were so sweet! like when a guy kisses a girl on the forehead, it just looks to me like the girl is so precious and important to the guy! and to me, its the sweetest thing. more so than passionate french kisses or whats not. i mean, it all lies in the subtleness right? hahaha XOXO 6:36 AM Saturday, May 16, 2009  Qiling and i cooked fried rice with chicken,carrot and egg today! yummy! it was good cos i used instant rice and at last, i am not eating rice that is burnt or too mushy. hehehe. sigh. i am almost too embarassed to say i am asian, have been eating rice all my life and i STILL CANT COOK RICE PROPERLY. USELESS WITHOUT THE RICE COOKER YO! and the instant rice was good. UNCLE BEN'S jasmine thai rice. all u have to do is, just throw the whole packet of rice in its packet into boiling water for 10 min. and there u go.. nice perfectly cooked rice :)))))))) and we even had mushroom and egg soup to go along (the instant kind la) but it was a really good meal ok! must be the company too :) TO EVERYONE BACK HOME: DUN WORRY YOU SHALL ALL HAVE A CHANCE TO SAMPLE ALYCIA'S CHUA COOKING WHEN I GET BACK! WAHHAHAHAHA XOXO 6:50 AM Thursday, May 14, 2009 ICH KANN ES NICHT GLAUBEN: ICH KANN ES NICHT GLAUBEN ICH KANN ES NICHT GLAUBEN ICH KANN ES NICHT GLAUBEN XOXO 6:11 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2009 to everyone reading this, pls scold me and tell me to go print them! went for the second class and the classroom was surprisingly empty. soon it was time for lesson to start and still the class had only like 5 of us? finally one of the girl went to the office and asked and yes. : the tr was sick! (jumps for joy) which was good cos i had to do my german hw for classs in the evening.. waited for qiling to end and had lunch at schlossplatz!picnic again( we just bought our food and sat down on the grass to eat. really nice weather :)) went back again for lesson till 3.30pm and went home.barely rested before i had to go for 3.5 hr of german class. :( which was not so bad cos pple like jordan keepmaking me laugh.hee and after dinner went to swee foo's for dinner and he cooked me canned curry and rice. which is really bad cos we were eating at like 9 plus 10 pm and its so sinful! and so fattening! then javier jioed us to sensibar( the bar at school) and so me, him and swee foo braved the rain and got our bier. :) did small chats all around. exciting conversations with someone who just smoked marijuana and could still tell us he wasnt feeling too good. insulted by someone else who said i wasnt korean cos he knew a few and their faces werent as round as mine. TMD. but he did try to redeem himself by saying i was cute with my round face (blatant lying in my round face yo). wahahahahahah AND I GOT A LOVEL HUG FROM TIMO! (GUY FROM FINLAND). cos apparently they dun kiss in finland too and they SOMETIMES hug as a greeting and i told him in sg too. and so he hugged me when we said goodbye! and it was such a nice lovely fuzzy cuddly warm brotherly hug! i really feel hugs are much nicer than superficial kisses on the cheeks! went home at around 1am and then there was another party at my house. neighbours had friends over and i was invited to drink with them. the day ended 2 biers and a little scotch whisky later..hahaha ciao! XOXO 5:37 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 i love smoked salmon. esp when they are so freaking expensive. you learn to savour them. but i love qiling's maultaschen the most. know why???? . . . . cos its the FIRST TIME our 大小姐 attempted to cook for us! even though it was a simple dish of refrigerated maultashen, it takes great effort to make it good. you have to open the packet, cut it to perfection, make sure the pan is hot enough, take great pains fry the maultaschen, make sure they are golden brown, add in the cheese and all the while ensuring good heat control.. hahhaa. so yeps. I SINCERELY APPLAUD YOU TEO QILING! for having taken the first step towards domestication. heheh  eating buddies. i swear we werent make to smile as though the food was the most delicious thing on planet earth. heheh To mrs saranto: in case u read this, just take comfort in the fact that our friendship has progressed to a greater level ok. :) XOXO 5:51 AM Monday, May 11, 2009 but its freaking spoilt now! and there is really nothing to blame other than myself. i have dropped the camera like a dozen and one times since i got here. ok 5-6 times will be more accurate. i really dunno why i am such a klutz with it. and my heart drops with it everytimes it does. can u imagine the pain??!!! and i asked the shops here and they say to repair my camera will require me to blow another 2o0 euros at the least. which is crazy cos an average camera here cos 100 plus euros. which is why i have decided to get another camera. i really dunno how i am going to live with a camera that takes really blur pics and is unable to focus anymore. hahah shit why does it sound like i am describing myself??? hahaha BUT I AM UNDECIDED! deciding between HOT PINK  OR BABY PINK. XOXO 8:50 AM Sunday, May 10, 2009 menu: cereal and milk kaya toast toast with scrambled eggs and luncheon meat drinks: hot ice lemon tee hot honey milk and we were too busy eating to take any pics. hahah and yes.. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS OUT THERE! ESP TO MY OWN MUMMY AND GRANDMA! even though i dun say it, i still love u loads! hope u like the bouquets i sent back home! :) XOXO 5:44 AM Saturday, May 09, 2009 9.90 euro for disgusting sushi that has gross rice and frozen sashimi on it. can u imagaine biting into icy sushi! like wth. and the miso soup was so salty i can feel the hair on my head dying and dropping. the tepanyaki was just applying heat to the un-freshest ingredients and smothering the whole thing with oil that is free. groosssss i am sorry i am being so cynical and all and i am so bloody fussy about food i know. but having to pay so much for the food just make me feel like i deserve better food. it might not be expensive by european standards, but yes I AM A POOR GIRL ALRIGHTSSSSS??? XOXO 8:34 AM Friday, May 08, 2009  Sinagporeans! : belinda, swee foo, chris, me, zollin, stacey, rez and qiling. after dinner went to meet marcela and the rest for a party at another block and not long after, went to a birthday party of Iro ( girl from greece) outside of school. didnt stay for long cos it was so hot at the party( they didnt want to open the windows cos it will be too noisy and the police will come). i was mostly outside with Ben talking and we decided to leave with the rest to catch the last bus home. reached home around 3am and stupid swee foo jioed me over to his place for supper with him and chris and he tempted me with beer and instant noodles> WTF. he knows my weakness :( and we ate and chatted till 6plus 7 am and chris had to leave for the train station to catch the train to the airport.. so in effect, i didnt have any sleep at all. was so tired and felt so guilty cos we/i did something naughty and it really made me wonder what so many years of priciples and what i stood for amounted to. oh wells. whatever happens in Germany stays in Germany. XOXO 8:03 AM Wednesday, May 06, 2009 evening was German class (and in case u were wondering, yes we have german classes still, though its only once a week for 3.5 hours instead of everyday from 8 to 1pm. so yeps. i oficially have 3.5 hours every week to see a certain someone. ONLY 3.5 PRECIOUS HOURS. :( and it was horrible cos he is acting way too cold towards me :( and it sucks. S- U-C-K-S. SUCKS. :(:(:(:(:(:(:( XOXO 7:52 AM Saturday, May 02, 2009 yay! i finally arrived in the land of the Beatles and our former coloniser. the feeling is pretty surreal, i have no idea why, but i felt this special connection with this city or country when i stepped foot into it. maybe its the fact that we have studied so much about it in geo lessons (all the horrible geofiles and case studies on UK) and things feel more familiar than in Germany. think of three pin plugs! and right hand driving and super familiar train stations (kensington, swiss cottage etc etc..) i love the city! its so vibrant and diverse and colourful at the same time. girls here definitely dress better than in germany ( they all look like they are wearing clothes out of a Topshop or Miss selfridge catalogue! ) and there are so many asians and tourists around, its actually hard to hear any English and when u actually do, you obviously enjoy hearing the very very very nice british accent :)   lunch in chinatown. saw dim sum but it was very exorbitantly priced:( end up eating a chicken bao. hahaha  me, qiling and cupid in the british museum. haha  watching the changing of guards at the buckingham palace. it was exciting cos the girl i was standing behing had a brother who was one of the guards! and they were so overwhelmed when he marched past, they(the family) burst into tears!   i Love the BIG BEN! seriously wondering how any one place could have so much attractions and the buildings are so nice, they all look photo worthy! but obviously me and qiling being the two noobs, ravelled in the beauty and photobility of a particular building or struture only when pointed us to us (more often than not by swee foo). following is an excerpt from qiling'sblog and it perfectly encapsulates the essence of our british knowledge.. Just that Alycia and I the 2 girls from the little red dot couldn't help but feel DAMN NOOB/BIMBO (pink umbrella doesn't help) at times especially when we tend to sprout stuff like "EHH sweefoo what's that building! so nice!" or "Is London Bridge and Tower Bridge the same thing" or "Oh you mean Knightsbridge is not a bridge!?!?!? (passing by a building which looks like it has a toilet and two girls who need to relieve themselves very urgently) And then there were senseless conversations like Me: Alycia where are we ah? Is this a museum? Aly: I don't know lah I don't care! As long as there's a toilet.. Me: Ohhhh yesss my pee pee is coming out Aly: My shit is coming out Sweefoo: *I-am-trying-very-hard-to-remain-sane look (at the big ben) Me: Oh my gosh Big Ben!!! So chio!! I can't believe I am standing right in front of Big Ben now!! Aly: yahhhhh so beautiful!!! Me: Actually what is Big Ben all about ah?????????? Aly: *blank look* I don't know i think it's a very very big clock (at abbey road) Me: -at Abbey street- Eh Sweefoo why are we here? This looks like just another Yewtee to me. Sweefoo: Abbey Street is famous is London! Me: Oh really? Ok lets take a picture here!!! -5 minutes later- Me: *totally bored* Ehh why are Tomas they all so excited huh? Why they keep crossing that zebra crossing????? Sweefoo: This is the most famous zebra crossing in London!! Beatles and other famous bands used to cross this everyday to record their albums in Abbey Studio! Me: Ohhhhhh really??? Let's take a picture with that zebra crossing!!!!!
